Renart, artist in a nightclub, is on conflict with his boss, so he leaves with his girlfriend to a country house. He meets ancient friends and rents a disused factory to present shows. But his pastfife comes again. His...展开boss wants to charge him for his insulte and gets a killer to go in search of him, but this one stays with Renart.
So, everything breaks down. After a disastrous show, his friends forsake him and he is beaten up by the hatchet men of his ancient boss.

Michel Soutter is a Swiss director, born in 1932, died in 1991. With Alain Tanner and Claude Goretta, he was part of the major trio of the “New Swiss Cinema” of the 60's and 70's.
