Stark Raving Mad is the name of a short-lived NBC sitcom that aired from 1999-2000. It starred Tony Shalhoub as eccentric horror novelist Ian Stark, who is obsessed with practical jokes; Neil Patrick Harris as Stark's ...展开reluctant editor Henry McNeeley, who suffers from a variety of phobias and possibly obsessive-compulsive disorder; and Eddie McClintock, in a supporting role as Jake Donovan. On January 10, 2000 the sitcom won a People's Choice Award for Favorite New Television Comedy Series. The sitcom premiered on September 23, 1999 and was officially cancelled by NBC on April 15, 2000. After the show's cancellation Shalhoub moved on to a starring role in the TV series Monk -- a role not unlike Harris's role in Stark Raving Mad.
